Degree awarded to graduates of the

Armed Forces Technical Institute

At the end of three years of studying in the Technical Institute, the Graduate gets the rank of  technical lieutenant (under experimenting, and gets the Diploma of specialized technical after passing the Applied course held in the institute for a period of six months after graduation.

Educational system at the

Armed Forces Technical Institute

1.     2 years of schooling preceded by 1 year of qualification in the training center of the Institute.

2.     Year of study / qualification is divided into 2 semester's ends with an exam to qualify to the next school year.

3.     The school day is divided into 8 hours, 4 during daytime hours and 4 evening hours under the supervision of teachers.

4.     Total hours of study to achieve the Technical Institute Diploma are 5268 hours distributed as follows:

Acceptance conditions of the

Technical Institute of the Armed Forces

1.     Applicants must be, as well as their ancestors, of Egyptian nationality.

2.     Age: On the first of October, the age should not exceed:

a.     (22 years) for high school graduates (secondary / Azhar / industrial).

b.     (24 years) for students enrolled in higher studies than the high schools

         mentioned above.

3.     Not married or have been married before and commits not to get married during his studies.

4.     Education:

a.     High school graduates (scientific section) Science / mathematics, provided that the compulsory subjects must

         not be part of the literature subjects. 

b.     Azhar high school graduates (scientific section).

c.     Governmental Industrial High School graduates (three / five years), Dambisku Institute (Italian cilizian),

        provided that specialties must be part of (Mechanical / Electrical) sections mentioned hereafter.

d.     Students enrolled in higher studies than the high schools mentioned. Provided that such studies in the same

        specialties are to affect their studies positively at the Technical Institute of the Armed Forces (engineering /

        technology / technical). He who has the above mentioned certificates is accepted under the conditions of age

         requirement. 

e.     Only one year is allowed after graduation from high school, Azhar, industrial school (3-5 years mechanical

        electrical).

f.      A graduate who exceeded more than one year after graduation and are enrolled in a university,

        governmental technical industrial institute, or technological institute should provide an official document.
