The year 1967 was
considered as a new era
in the history of the Egyptian Air forces
,when all of our
damaged aircraft in the 1967 war
were replaced , and new ones joined
the service and these were the
latest models then. These aircraft
were :- Mig 21 BFM
Fighter - BFSR Scouting
plane - MF

A Long Range T U 16 jet bomber of the EAF
with the new national marking adapted
in 1973 . Beneath its wings the TU 16
carries two Kelt
stand - off missiles as used
in the October 1973 War .

this period 13 new airfields were
built for the aircraft, Fighter Bombers,
Bombers, Also 716 aircraft
hangars were built besides other hangars
for maintenance, equipment, and
ammunition. In 1968 Air defence was separated from the
Air force and a
separate command for the Air defence
was assigned .
